2015: The Music Photography of Peter B Kaars

Self taught, Peter B Kaars started photography in earnest in Amsterdam in the 80s. Although immediately drawn to theater and music performance, this specialty took really off when he was one of the regulars at Paul Panhuysen’s Apollohuis in Eindhoven in the 90s. This work has been published in several magazines and books as well exhibited in Eindhoven (1995) and Tokyo (1996). After transferring to the San Francisco Bay Area, Kaars has been roaming the small venues for experimental music since 2000, organized by the likes of Outsound, San Francisco Electronic Music Festival, 23Five, 21 Grand, Meridian Gallery, Tom’s Place, Mills College, 7Hz, The Lab and Center for New Music.
